2020 Treefort Postponed ’til Sept 2021

As official Treefort Music Fest media sponsor, we know how much passion and hard work goes into the festival: one of the best things the Boise community has going for it over the past nine years. But the inevitable tough decision was coming…

After a lengthy period of replanning and waiting, the Treefort team has wisely decided to postpone its 9th annual festival due to COVID-19 and restrictions on large gatherings.

September 2020 is just coming too soon to safely hold an event its size (25,000 people and 400+ artists from all around the globe spread across dozens of downtown Boise venues for five days).

“It has become clear that hosting Treefort in 2020 is no longer viable for us and March 2021 is feeling too risky for an event as big and dynamic as ours, given there are so many unknowns currently regarding the trajectory of the pandemic,” Eric Gilbert, Treefort’s co-founder and Festival Director, said.

But Treefort was built within our community on sustainability and will be back – stronger than ever – September 22-26, 2021. (Then again in March 2022!)
