Have a story you’d like to tell?
Dive into narrative, sound-based storytelling with Radio Boise’s Radio Race.
We’ll gather at the Radio Boise studios on Nov 12 and 13 — working on teams and as individuals — to create feature length-radio stories.
The theme for November’s Radio Race is “My Ecosystem.” Science-y stories around 4 minutes in length on sustainability topics are encouraged; but other stories are welcome too; it’s your prerogative.
During the Radio Race, radio recording and editing equipment and production help is available. You don’t have to have prior experience making a radio story; we’re here to help! We’ll gather to give more details on the race and brainstorm story ideas in November.
Looking for inspiration in the meantime?

I produced this music video that is fun, engaging and has a great underlying theme called “Guacamole” about a Texas Ranger and Latina restaurant owner who settle their differences over Guacamole.
Think of West Side Story, Who Let the Dogs Out and I Wanne Be a Cowboy.
Would any of your affiliates or stations be willing to run it? There is a song version that is shorter with a link on the You Tube music video.
Here it is. Please take a brief listen, if you don’t like it I’ll buy your lunch!:
