The first opportunity to get involved in our Voices Podcasting Project kicks off in February, as part of a partnership with the Idaho Humanities Council for three podcasting/audio production workshops in 2019. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Idaho Humanities Council, a State-based program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The program starts with a February 2019 weekend-long “Radio Race” under the theme of “Intersection.” Participants will receive instruction on the art of the story, interviewing techniques, audio production, and creating a compelling narrative featuring local voices and perspectives.
In May/June, the partnership will offer a longer six-week workshop with an opportunity for more in-depth instruction. Another weekend intensive workshop will be held in the fall. Participants can sign up for one, two or all three.
E-mail Program Director Wayne Birt if you have any questions. We hope to see you here!
Here’s the application for the February 16-17 Radio Race:
Hi.
I am very interested in learning about how you ran your workshop and radio race. I would love to bring that same kind of event to my community, in Bethlehem, PA this summer.
How did the race go??? Is there anyone I can reach out to discuss your project and get some ideas/advice/resources on how to bring this kind of project here? Thank you!
I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across
a blog that’s both educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is an issue that too few men and women are
speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I found this during my hunt for something concerning this.
