Join your Radio Boise friends for our Radiothon Pick-Up Party and Wine Not Fundraiser at Split Rail Winery on Tuesday, May 2nd from 5-8pm! Split Rail will be donating 20% of all sales from the evening directly to Radio Boise! Come enjoy a glass of wine, soak up some sunshine, say hello to the KRBX crew, and help us celebrate Spring Radiothon in fashion.
If you have made a donation during Spring Radiothon, April 12th-25th, and have claimed your “Thank You” gift, please join us to pick up your goodies. This event is all ages–we’ll see you there! If you are unable to make it to this event, no worries. You have until the end of May to come to the station and pick up your “Thank You” gift.
To get you prepared, we’ve created some optimal wine pairings—so you can make sure the vino you’re drinkin’ matches your taste in shows on Radio Boise.
We’ve worked closely with the wine makers at Split Rail to ensure the depth of flavor and terroir in their wines compliments the certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ of KRBX. We like to thing we’re full bodied, smooth, and just a little bit fruity:
For Friday Block Fans: Fever Dream and Rebel Alliance to Hot Potato
There’s nothing better than sitting in the afternoon sun with a glass of bubbly, listening to the feverish dance pop and indie beats of Radio Boise’s Friday afternoon block. If you’re on the eternal hunt for an endless summer, indulge in this bubbly rose with scents of lemon curd and strawberry fields forever.
Sunday Funday: Spoonful, Sunday Soul Party, Sunday Sound System
Soulful, daytime goodness meets a wine made for sunny Sundays. Whether you’re working in the garden with a side of Spoonful, spending a sultry afternoon soaking up soul tunes, or defeating the Monday blues with Sunday Sound System, grab a glass of this pink princess and settle into your Sunday fun-day.
Thursday Night Lovers: TCD, The Wreck, Forces of Obvious Luck, Catch a Wave
For you funky folk who get down to Tennis Court Disco and spend your Thursday evening with the bass beats of Radio Boise. This orange wine is a nod to the slow springtime evenings, with extra natural fruit funk perfectly paired with the moves and grooves of our Thursday show block.
Tuesday Night Tunes: Daft Manifesto, Riff Haven, Event Horizon Boogie
This blend is for you rockers out there who want to head-bang to post-punk goodness and dabble in the stoner symphonies that make our Tuesday night showcase dazzle. Heavy riffs, meet heavy red. Drink up, my friends!
