40 Book Launch/Fundraiser for Radio Boise!

Join us August 2nd at the Treasure Valley Institute for Children’s Arts (TRICA) to celebrate the release of local author Alan Heathcock’s new novel, 40!

The official book launch will begin at 7pm and will include a reading by Alan Heathcock, an open bar, food truck, and live music from Radio Boise’s very own Mr. Grant Olsen.

In partnership with TRICA, Rediscovered Books, and Alan Heathcock, this fundraising event for Radio Boise is open to the public. Rediscovered Books will have copies of 40 available for purchase, and a percentage of all book sales at the event will be donated to Radio Boise!

This book release event is open to the public, so please invite the literary lovers in your life to come join us at 7pm! You can share details and invite friends and family on Facebook. Walking, cycling, or ridesharing to this community event is encouraged.

Alan Heathcock has won a Whiting Award, the GLCA New Writers Award, a National Magazine Award, has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Lannan Foundation, and the Idaho Commission on the Arts.

His story collection, VOLT, was a ‘Best Book of the Year’ selection from numerous newspapers and magazines, including GQ, Publishers Weekly, Salon, and the Chicago Tribune, was named as a New York Times Editors’ Choice, and a finalist for the Barnes and Noble Discover Prize.
