Radio Free America On-Demand Archiver Shut Down

In unexpected news, Radio Free America has suspended operations indefinitely as of Saturday, August 15, 2020.

We are searching for an alternative show audio archiving service – which will take time – but we’ll keep you posted as we find a new solution.

(As to not confuse, our live online broadcast is still firing on all cylinders; Radio Free America was our on-demand listening archive for previously aired content.)

A statement from the organization e-mailed to us this past Thursday (August 13), in part, read:

“…After careful consideration and much deliberation, Radio Free America has simply run out of options. We no longer have investor backing to adequately fund the company and do not anticipate a sizeable enough commitment from stations to continue our operation going forward.”
