On August 3-4 2018, Boise will launch the world’s first and only Goathead Festival!

For years, the Goathead Monster has plagued the bicycle community. Rides have been ruined, tires have been trashed, and punctures have permeated our pedal powered lives. But now the monster’s had a change of heart. Instead of popping tires on August 3rd and 4th, Boise’s most despised invasive specie will be giving back to Boise’s bicycle nonprofits and lending its hand in transforming Boise into the Bicycle Capital of America.

Presented by the Boise Bicycle Project, New Belgium Brewing, and the Original 2018 Boise Goathead Fest Ambassadors (could be you)!

Leading into BGF. The Boise Bicycle Project has teamed up with the Boise Parks and Recreation to manifest a massive goathead collection initiative. From July 6th to July 31st we’ll be challenging the community to collect and bag as many goathead plants as possible and drop them off at the Boise Bicycle Project, North End Organic Nursery. A beer/beverage token will be given to every individual that shows up with a trash bag full of goathead plants (limit 1 token per individual). And prizes will be awarded for individuals and teams who collect the most.
