Being a people-powered station means that the volunteers who bring you the content you love have a life. And, sometimes, life comes with changes, which means that programmers must move on. While we never like to say goodbye to a programmer, we are always excited to offer your ears something new and different! So, with that in mind, you’ll be hearing some changes on Radio Boise airwaves this month – we hope you enjoy it all!
Welcome the new host of the Sunday Soul Party, DJ Feelings. DJ Dusty C’s still around, but DJ Feeling’s taking the main reins and it will be great. Catch her every Sunday, noon – 2:00 pm.
We’ll miss Tiger, but we think the show slot is in good hands. Wendy Fox moves her dulcet brand of disco to Thursdays at 5:00 pm with Tennis Court Disco, right before The Wreck at 7:00 pm.
A fond farewell to Thomas Paul, who’ll be doing his last V3 on Radio Boise on September 15th, 9:00 am – noon. He’ll still be around, just not every Friday. Please wish him well for all the great things he’s done for the community airwaves.
It’s the debut of a new show, The Uncertain Radio Programme, with DJ Dusty C. Get ready for a new mix of deep, eclectic cuts and tunes from all eras of recorded music history. Tune in every Saturday afternoon, 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
Femme Fatale debuts at her new slot. Don’t worry, she’s still going to keep it feminine, rocking and spread out over all kinds of varieties in the musical arena of femdom. Saturdays, 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Guilty Pleasures moves up to 7:00 – 9:00 pm. It’ll still be the same unpredictable mix. Curiosities, cuts from oddball movie soundtracks, splashes of electronica and spoken world tidbits. We’re banking on weirdos keeping more normal hours.
Joe Black of Nightime Asylum debuts a new show, Sonic Mushroom Cloud, from 9:00 to 11:00 pm. Like its namesake, Sonic Mushroom Cloud will include rock, post-rock, electronica, cuts old and new with maybe just a slight apocalyptic bent. Don’t worry, it will be very pleasant. It will not sound like the end.
He’s no Thomas Paul, but who is? Wayne Birt brings his carton of dryness to the V3, with perennial house guest, Gabe Dunn. Together they’ll splice stabs of comedy, useless trivia often specializing in ’80s sitcoms, pranks, moments of discomfort, with similarly reliably great music you came to expect from Thomas. It will not be the same, but a cousin of the same. A couple of new personalities to get to know and wince with. Every Friday, 9:00 am – noon.
