Radio Boise is honored to be participating in the inaugural Progress Party fundraiser during Idaho Gives from 5 to 10pm at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St., Boise. Free, all ages.
Organized by the Works Progress Administration, a public benefit corporation brewery opening in late 2016, the premise behind the Progress Party is simple: In reward for supporting the great nonprofits that enrich our community, you get beer, a token of the nonprofit’s appreciation and that special feeling that only happens when you’ve done a good thing. Especially while drinking beer.
Radio Boise, Discovery Center of Idaho, Ūsful Glassworks, Story Story Night, Off Center Dance Project and Boise Hive will occupy the Linen Building, each showcasing their commitment to community in the form of what we do: live music, performance, storytelling and scientific discovery. Radio Boise DJs Chris Hess (Range Life, Tuesdays 7-9pm) and Wendy Fox (Tennis Court Disco, Saturdays 5-7pm) are part of the evening’s entertainment lineup.
Each group will have a booth set up to accept donations via the Idaho Gives website. A $10 contribution to the nonprofit of your choice (you can donate to multiple organizations) will get you a beer tasting ticket and a special premium. Radio Boise supporters will receive our new sticker as a special premium.
Progress Through Beer is the Work Progress Administration’s idea that beer can be used as a tool for public benefit. More information on the Work Progress Administration may be found at wpabeer.com.
