RADIO BOISE to Screen Cult Music Classic “THIS IS SPINAL TAP” for Annual Holiday Event
Radio Boise’s 7th annual holiday fundraiser will showcase 1984’s rock and roll musical “This is Spinal Tap”. “Tapping into the New Year” will happen Friday, December 14th at 7 PM, downtown, at the historic Egyptian Theatre and showcase Rob Reiner’s mock documentary about a fictional heavy metal band. The film has become a cult classic due to the heavy satire and ad-libbed nature of the dialogue. It was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation by the United States National Film Registry.
The event will also feature Radio Boise’s always-popular silent auction of donated items and services by dozens of local businesses. Beer and wine will be available in the lobby. All proceeds will benefit Radio Boise. Tickets can be purchased ONLINE or the night of the show at the Egyptian Theater’s box office on Capitol and Main streets.
