In line with our mission as Idaho’s greenest radio station, Radio Boise (KRBX 89.9 FM and 93.5 FM in downtown Boise) is raffling off a 2015 Fiat e500 electric vehicle to help raise critical funding for projects ranging from an expansion of our community podcasting workshops to helping make final repairs to our antenna out on Owyhee Ridge this fall.
You can make an immediate impact by taking a chance on winning as we head into the final three months of this important fundraiser, and all proceeds go toward preserving and expanding Radio Boise’s freeform, independent spirit.
The electric orange Fiat has been making it way around town to various festivals and community events throughout the summer, but the raffle is about more than winning a new car. Whether you buy one, two, seven, or even forty chances at winning a vehicle that highlights Radio Boise’s commitment to the environment and clean, renewable energy, you’ll power up our mission and benefit our entire community.
Tickets must be purchased in person, and are available at Radio Boise (1020 Main Street, Suite 50, Boise) and the Record Exchange (1105 W. Idaho Street, Boise) for $20.00 each, or in various packages for multiple opportunities to drive the car home.
You’ll also continue to see the Fiat multiple places throughout the fall, and our crew of amazing volunteers can answer all of your burning questions about EVs thanks to some great training and information provided by Idaho Power.
Last year’s first electric car raffle raised $33,000 for KRBX, and our goal for this year is $44,000. We’ve reached about $10,000 in sales so far, so we need you to help us power up toward our ultimate goal.
Tickets make great birthday gifts or thank yous for your customers, and ticket packages reduce the price for each chance. Even though it might reduce your own odds of winning, if you know someone who might be interested in entering the drawing we’d love to get your help in spreading the word!
This raffle runs through December 7, 2018. The winner will be announced live at Radio Boise’s annual Practice New Year’s Eve Party – being held Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Linen Building in downtown Boise. Winner does not need to be present to win.
