Couch Surfer Series: Erin Rose Belair, Andrew Stensaas, Angel Abaya

Radio Boise presents the 2018-2019 Couch Surfer Series, a monthly event featuring talk and performance with writers, artists, and musicians in the Radio Boise studios. Every second Sunday of the month, creators will talk about their craft, perform, and read their work for a live audience.

For the 2018-2019 season, the series kicks off September 9th with author Erin Rose Belair, composer Andrew Stensaas, and musician Angel Abaya. Hosting moderator is local author Christian Winn.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase with ID and all proceeds benefit KRBX Radio Boise.

Single tickets are $15 and are limited, available beginning Friday, August 17th at 11 AM. Doors open at 5:30 PM; the event begins at 6 PM and runs until approx. 8 PM with an intermission at 7 PM.

Season tickets are available for $75 and guarantee your seat at all six performances, available for purchase beginning August 8th at 4:30 PM.

Everything Erin Rose Belair write comes from what she knows about writing fiction and essays. Belair studied UC Irvine and then earned her MFA at Boise State.

Her first collection of short fiction, Vinegar, includes stories that have appeared in Narrative, Juked, The Greensboro Review, and Glimmer Train – where she won their Emerging Writer’s Award. Belair just finished a fellowship at Vermont Center Fellow and is currently working on her first novel, The Shanty.

Andrew Stensaas is a composer and musician. He is currently the Creative Director at LED, a Boise performing arts company he co-founded with wife Lauren Edson in 2015.

About artist Angel Abaya:

Angel Abaya is a musician, teacher, and content creator from Boise. Currently, she works with Treefort Music Fest, Boise Rock School, and LED. She also writes and performs with her band Electric Coconut.
