Music means something! It lifts spirits, informs opinions, shifts our perspectives. Music can also bring people together – and we believe it should. At Radio Boise, we’re committed to diverse and inclusive programming.
Here’s what that looks like:
Mixing it up: Music comes from every corner of the human experience. We’ll strive to include music across a wide variety of styles, eras, traditions, ethnicities, and identities.
Hosting diverse voices: Idaho is home to all kinds of communities. We believe the airwaves should be enriched by broadcasters from as many of these unique identities as possible.
Nurturing respect: To be included, people first need to feel respected. Radio Boise pledges to offer a safe place built on genuine acceptance, respect, and connectedness. Whoever you are, you’re welcome here.
Acknowledging the challenges: We live in an imperfect world. Endemic racism, Anti-LGBTQ bias, entrenched economic inequalities, and systematic silencing of the periphery affect us all. We’re committed to using our voice to raise awareness about these problems.
