Are those snap-crackle-and-pops you’ve been hearing on our airwaves getting you down? You can help Radio Boise Boost Our Signal by giving to our annual Spring Radiothon April 19-27!

With the Treasure Valley growing, construction in downtown Boise and surrounding areas is making it increasingly difficult to get a clear signal from Radio Boise’s studio to our transmitter at Owyhee Ridge. This has caused intermittent issues with our signal quality – but now we’ve got a plan to fix it! We’re working with our team of engineers to raise our signal well above the evolving downtown skyline.

Your gift during Radiothon will get us to our goal faster and allow us to strengthen our signal as fast as possible!

Three ways to donate:
http://www.radioboise.us
(208) 258-2072
In person at the Alaska Building, 1020 W. Main St., Suite 50 (in the basement)

New supporters can get in on the action, too. Monthly donations are safely, conveniently and automatically withdrawn from your bank account or credit card — many sustaining members remark that spreading out their contribution over a year is easier on the wallet than making a one-time gift, and it comes with the same perks as a standalone donation!

Radio Boise programmers have lined up a smorgasbord of special Radiothon shows for you, including:

– Do you think you know The Worst Song EVER? Request it and find out on Sonic Saturday’s “Bad Song Saturday” on Saturday, April 22 (3-5pm)

– Ever wonder what the Radio Boise boss is like with no sleep for a day? Our GM Jessica Evett will be live-vlogging 24 hours of no-sleep Radiothon madness on Sunday, April 23.

– Listen to Idaho music legend Pinto Bennett and His Cheerie Ol’ Men play a live set on Spoonful with Jason Beek on Sunday, April 23 (10am-noon).

– Hear three live performances during the Blues Block on Monday, April 24 ( 5-10pm). Jeff Engelbert and Friends with Chubby Lovin’ will perform around 5:30pm; then Gary Tackett, who is on the new Boise Blues Society compilation album “Blues Gems from the Gem State,” will perform around 7pm, and some youngsters who are exceptionally good, Noble Holt and Kevin Littrell (also on the album), will play around 8pm.

– Win funky prizes by donating and playing Wheel of Chance on Nichole Marie’s The Rapture on Tuesday, April 25 (noon-3pm).
